1. Anonymous by Default

randomcaht.online is built from the ground up to minimize personal data collection. We do not require, collect, or store your real name, email address, password, phone number, physical address, or social media profiles.

2. Ephemeral Chat Messages

Chat messages exchanged between participants are transmitted in real-time over encrypted WebSockets and are ephemeral. We do not maintain a permanent database of chat history. Once a conversation ends or both participants disconnect, message data is cleared from memory.

3. Temporary Operational Data

To operate matchmaking and protect users against spam and abuse, we process minimal temporary data:

• Temporary Session Identifiers: Random, non-sequential cryptographic UUIDs generated per browser visit.
• Self-Declared Matching Attributes: Temporary nickname, self-declared gender, and matching preference.
• Abuse Prevention & Rate Limits: Temporary counters to limit message flooding, connection abuse, and bot activity.

4. Abuse Reports and Moderation

When a user submits an abuse report (e.g. for harassment or spam), the report reason, brief optional details, timestamps, and associated anonymous session IDs are temporarily recorded to enforce bans and protect the community.

5. Cookies and Local Storage

We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. We only use browser local storage / session storage to remember your chosen theme (Light, Dark, or System) and temporary session ID during your active visit.
